There are a huge variety of whitening products and methods. The best thing to do is go to your dentist and ask them which one they recommend. In my professional opinion, it’s not so much the type of the product but the concentration of the product. I can’t delve into this in more detail for dento-legal reasons but just ask your dentist for more details if you’re curious.

The reason that it is more expensive at the dental clinic is that professionally trained staff are using higher concentration whitening agents to produce the result you desire related to your cosmetic dentistry. They are trained in the management of “during procedure” issues and “after-procedure” post-operative follow-up. However, the cost compared to other procedures is quite low.
