Will whitening damage my teeth?

Teeth whitening as an area of cosmetic dentistry, done under the guidance of a dental professional should not damage your teeth. Once again, as long as you follow the directions of your dentist or dental health professional, you will be fine. Sensitivity is expected and is relatively normal. However, any prolonged (>1 week) pain or severe pain either from the teeth or gums after a whitening procedure isn’t expected and should be reviewed by the professional who undertook your whitening care.
